ABOUT US AND HOW YOU MAY ASSIST

When asked questions, regarding the teachings or practices of the Church, I could normally answer them from my own knowledge. If not, I could check in a book or ask a priest. But questions or accusations concerning episodes in the history of the Church, were more difficult to answer. Often they concerned obscure places, people and times. Being at work and busy bringing up a family, there was little opportunity to carry out research.

So on retirement I started to provide booklets dealing with false anti-Catholic ‘history’. After a few years, the Internet provided the opportunity to reach a wider audience. This was pointed out with vigour by a friend of mine, who offered to provide technical support. The existing booklets were scanned as html and pdf.  The opportunity then arose to gather articles from other sources, (for which we give thanks). At this point the pdf presentation was discontinued.

The availability of Audio talks on historical subjects, led us into the world of TV and Radio. We have set aside a section for audios and a general one to make known these Catholic sources.

I was aware of the importance of the Church maintaining that the Gospels are historical documents and some being written by Our Lord’s personal companions. So I was pleased to meet Dom Bernard Orchard. His learned works, challenging the Markan Priority theory, were of great encouragement, but he died before his researches could be published in full.

To keep his work alive, and show how he confirmed that Matthew wrote first, we have established a section to make known his achievements and continue them in a small way.

We wish those thank those who have made our site known. Below we provide posters which may be printed and displayed on notice boards or reduced to leaflet size.

We hope our readers will take advantage of this opportunity.
